I found out some more info about my assignment. I will be working with xylophone artisans to help them increase their sales and improve quality control. I'm really excited about that because I basically begged to get that assignment. I get to work with people who are making xylophones! It doesn't get cooler than that.
Speaking of music, I bought a guitar. I've been having quite a bit of fun with it. I'll go around town singing and playing guitar. It is one of the funniest things I've ever done in my life. I'm in towns that haven't ever seen a white person before, and I'm going around with a guitar singing like a crazy person. But people seem to love it. Children especially love it. They come up and sing with me and play. The other day I just walked up to some kids and started playing and they started singing. It's pretty amazing. I'll try to post some pictures soon.

Okay, so you've gone from rock star at church, to a traveling minstrel.
do you walk around barefoot?
i'm speechless...
It sounds like fun. Going around town, singing, playing music, hanging with the kids, time to enjoy people, the sites, and the weather. You really are a government employee. Either that or a welfare recipient.
Enjoy your time there. Have fun with the people. Tell us more of your Ghanain family. Are they finally allowing you to sit with them during dinner?
Can't wait for even more updates!!
Hey Adam!
I'm so glad to hear you're doing well in Ghana! And it sounds like the people are very nice and are treating you well. Have they invited you to eat with them yet? That's a strange custom.
What a great assignment! Your music man abilities are really coming in handy. Making xylophones! That's awesome! And, I read your post on playing guitar and singing around town. What fun! I wish I could be there for that.
When do you go to your new outpost in Lawra? I checked the google map and it's waaayyyy in the upper regions. You'll be in the NW again, but in the corner pocket of another country altogether. Must be a good market for xylophones.
Sounds like you're meeting good people and having some interesting experiences - well, I hope you've quit with the craps by now ;)
Anyway, be well & enjoy your adventure. I'll check back often. Hope to see more pictures, too!
